Pinch Bag

Originally conceived for a concept fashion store, this pouf holds thousands of obsolete anti-theft labels — the plastic security tags stripped from unsold or discarded clothing — packed into a semi-transparent grid structure. The connection to retail, value, obsolescence and the body is built into the material itself. Functionally it adapts: upright it's a seat, on its side a low table or plinth. Suited to industrial and minimal interiors, inside or out — and to spaces that welcome objects with something to say.
