A salvaged metal frame and disused doors, pushed past their original function into something between furniture and sculpture. The shelf holds objects — books, ceramics, plants, whatever needs a stage — while remaining a considered object itself. The open structure means what you place on it completes it. Makes a bold statement in a minimal interior and adds a layer of playfulness to more eclectic spaces.
Objects in the Derivatives Series are fabricated from reclaimed materials. Subtle surface variations are part of the material’s history and contribute to the individuality of each piece. The following terms describe the visible material character.
Great
Minimal visible surface variation. The material appears clean and refined, either preserving only faint traces of its previous life or presenting a newly applied finish.
Good
Minor surface marks or tonal variations may be visible, reflecting the reclaimed origin of the material.
Fair
Visible surface character including scratches, texture variation, patina, or signs of time from the material’s previous use.
